According to
information from the Bavarian Main Public Record Office
(letter of February 18th 1999) the municipality Fraunberg
does not use an official municipal flag. Inofficially,
however, a flag is used since about 1989; it shows two
stripes of White-Pale Blue with the arms. The colours
White-Blue are reserved to the flag of Bavaria; therefore
municipal flags in these colours may not be approved. The flag in actual use is an
hanging flag in the proportions 7:2; the arms cover 58%
of the flag width. It has been delivered by Fahnen
Kössinger in Schierling.
It is not hoisted on
official flag days, but only during municipal festivities
(e.g. the county pilgrimage to Maria Thalheim).
